Privacy Policy
Funlango (the app and funlango.app) is operated by Summit Pine Ventures LLC (“we”). This policy says what we collect, why, and how you delete it.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, your name if Sign in with Apple or Google passes it, and account ids.
- Your setup answers: languages, goals, deadline, situations, interests, level, correction style, daily time and the consents you give.
- Conversations: your voice is streamed to an AI provider to run the live conversation; we do not store audio. We store the transcripts, your tutor’s notes and recaps, what your tutor remembers about you and your “I need to say…” preps.
- Learning progress: lessons completed, phrases used, and when and how long you talked.
- Subscription status, as reported by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details.
- Server logs with your account id and technical events, never conversation content.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or advertising identifiers. There are no ads and no tracking, and we do not sell your data.
Why
To run your account and conversations, build and adapt your lesson plan, keep your tutor’s memory of you, provide your subscription and keep the service working and secure.
Who processes it
Service providers that process data only on our behalf, to run Funlango:
- an authentication provider, for sign-in;
- AI voice and text providers, which receive your voice and conversation text to produce the tutor’s replies, notes and plan;
- hosting and database providers, which store your account data.
Apple and Google handle subscription payments under their own privacy policies. Data is encrypted in transit.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account. You can also delete single memories, the recap or everything your tutor remembers in Profile at any time.
Delete your data
In the app, open Profile › Delete my account. This deletes your account and all its data at once. Or email privacy@funlango.app from the address you sign in with. Details: Delete your account.
Children
Funlango is meant for adults and is not directed at children.
Changes
We post changes on this page with a new effective date.
